I have been publishing, coming up to three years now and I have enjoyed the thrill of this ride. I have met with such wonderful and talented people. Heather Anderson of Post Road Vintage is one of them. I love her publication, issued quarterly called Homebound. It is also an honor to say for the second time I was included in her magazine.
She featured my Easter inspired dining room decorated with colored eggs and egg garlands all made from emptied and painted real eggs.
It was a fun project and I kept to my natural farmhouse style.
Besides all the beautiful features by Heather herself, I am included along with a few known other talents such as Janet Coon- who is also a regular contributor to my Creating Vintage Charm, Heather Thompson, Loretta Ellenson and Maria Marcusse.
I do hope you drop by Post Road Vintage (http://postroadvintage.com/2013/03/its-here-homebound-spring-2013.html) and get a copy, (digital or printed) of this issue. I know you will love it.
Heather was also included in Spring issue of Creating Vintage Charm where she shared her cozy little spot at home. A daybed she and her husband built together, where she particularly likes to sit and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa while reading her favorite magazines.
So...
Remember the farmhouse bench I built on the tutorial here? I finished it this morning. I worked on it on and off this week. After so many comments on Facebook about... how I should go about finishing it... some suggested white and others washes of greys and neutrals. I decided on both. I wanted to leave some neutral wash on the bench but to pop it against the wood floors I decided to paint legs and bottom parts in white then rough sand with a sander.
Top part is finished with a mix of pastel stain and grey paint...
I love the way it turned out! What do you think?
Well, I am off to putter some more. Thank you for coming by.
