April Showers...

Brings me flowers...

And while its pouring rain outside, between working and occasional naps here and there (I just cannot help it with this weather), I have been really enjoying the colors popping up all over my yard.

Blue bells grow in abundance each year!!

Blossoms and dogwood flowers growing in the trees!

And my lilac bush is flowering too! With those heavenly scented, purple flowers, I couldn't wait to cut a few and bring them inside the house...

*Sigh*!! I love Spring...don't you?!

After playing with flowers I decided to indulge myself... 

Yeah, I may have gone a bit overboard with this but its not something I do everyday... So why not?!

I made myself a double chocolate cupcake in a mug (recipe here) and added pink frosting and pearly sprinkles. It was yummy with a cup of tea. Doesn't it look yummy?! I love the Creating Vintage Charm coffee mugs... Honestly I have been wanting to do this for a while now. After all, the Pastel Cottage Collection was inspired by cupcakes!

Now you can see what I had in mind!

Well, still overcast and rainy out... I think I go put the kettle on the stove and make me another cup of tea.
