First off, I do have to apologize for the long gaps of time between posting. I think I live the craziest life with trying to do as much as I do. Not complaining, I love it all, raising my kids, my work, keeping home... I do my best in all, though priority is my kids of course. Besides publishing Creating Vintage Charm, I am also launching a new publication in the end of May called Enchanting Photography. I am pretty excited about that. But I also have picked up work locally helping businesses with social marketing and designing marketing material. Pretty excited about working with two clients, a furniture painting venue downtown and a new wedding venue opening in Pilot Mountain, NC. Pretty awesome jobs. I also will be having an intern sharing the load and gaining experience, mostly on the publishing part.
So yes, pretty crazy. And as much as I love blogging and all the ideas and posts I want to share, time is an issue so I hope you do understand. But I still try...
Though all that had to come to a halt this week for spring break. Kiddos are home and we are planing a short trip to West Virginia and Washington DC. Hoping to visit Harpers Ferry in WV and hit the museums in DC. I do hope cherry blossoms have bloomed up there.
But before we head out, here are some shots I took this morning in my bedroom. As much as I have been wanting to steer clear of the pinks, I just cannot resist a good buy at a yard sale. Especially when it comes with a Rachel Ashwell tag. I have to ask....is it just me or is there anyone who just loves so many different styles that I cannot seem to make up my mind... I love farmhouse, floral cottage, retro floral, shabby, romantic, rustic, nordic/scandinavian... I just love it all.

Maybe someday, I could find a way to incorporate it all and create a unique style... Sure!! Sounds crazy!
But that is not new for me... **wink**
Anyways...here is my bedroom in Shabby Chic and whites bedding and a beautiful bouquet of roses I was so lucky to find at the local market!
To tone down the pink and add more white, I spread a cutwork and embroidery tablecloth I bought especially to fit my bed.
I also have a tablecloth hung on my window... I started sewing shades and for some crazy reason, I only finished one and moved on... so this window got dressed with a tablecloth... that I kinda like though and thought hey...now I just have to find another similar tablecloth for my other window.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my random post and that you are enjoying Spring. Its beautiful out here in NC with everything blooming. I will be cutting lilacs from my garden to bring in pretty soon.

Your bedroom is so pretty Sonia! And you sound like me, I love many different things in different style and try to blend them all to make my style! Congrats on all your new ventures, where do you get your energy?!
Enjoy your getaway!
Table cloths make the most wonderful window and DOOR treatments!! I still don't have a screen door on my back door and I wanted it open so badly so I used a tension rod and got one of my vintage lace very large tablecloth and hung it in my doorway. The breeze is wonderful and the flies don't come in. Looks pretty too! I love your bedding. Mixing and matching is so charming. Thanks for blogging! I enjoyed it tonight!!!
Love your beautiful bedroom Sonia! I need to find myself some pretty tablecloths. Wonderful idea!
