An Enchanted Spring Market by The Vintage Farmhouse

Zionsville, IN

What a weekend this has been!

I am honored to have been invited as a special guest at The Vintage Farmhouse ~ Enchanted Spring Market

Event was hosted by The Vintage Farmhouse owner Nicki Winkles. She had hosted smaller sales before but this was her first venture in hosting a market on a larger scale. And I think it was a huge success for a first.
The vendors picked were a great mix of flea, farmhouse, shabby chic and fabulous work by artisans as well.
I sat at the entrance welcoming everyone while introducing myself. It was so much fun to meet people whom I have previously connected with. I find I do crave the personal connection in my work and this market was a great opportunity to put a face to so many names I have communicated with before.

Vendors came from all over the eastern states, as far south as Florida.

It was fun connecting with the vendors as well, chatting about our work. Doing shows like these is a lot of work but it is a small price to pay to be able to do what you love and make money from it, travel to different places and meet new people too. That is how I sum up my experience of this past weekend. I drove 8 hours back home thinking to myself it was worth every effort and will do this again anytime if life permits.

Photos show several shots from booths and vignettes in the market

It was also fun seeing our visitors excitedly walking around the vendors and gasping at displays... watching them loading up trucks with their new finds, so happy with their great buy and excited about what they have in mind for their new piece of furniture.

Nicki enjoyed it too. This is a beginning of something. She did say she plans to host more markets in the future so do go to her blog at http://www.thevintagefarmhouse.com/ and follow her to stay posted with up-coming events.

Don't forget that I am also hosting an Vintage Charming marketplace event this October in Forest, VA.
More details can be found here: http://vintagecharmingmarketplace.blogspot.com/
We are still excepting vendors sign-ups. I am pumped for another fabulous event and hope to see many of you there.

What a beautiful post of a beautiful event. It was a thrill being a vendor among such talented and creative people and you are so right, Sonia, that the personal connection makes what we do ever more special.
