In my dining room!

Clearly my dining room serves for more reasons then a room for eating. Oh, truth is, we rarely eat here since we do have an eat-in kitchen. But I do find it inspiring and its my playground. I come in here to putter and change things around.

My collection of white battenburg lace tablecloths and napkins and other finds, was hidden in drawers but I thought I need to gather it and display it.

Back in the day, I imported lace table linens from Belgium. Most of it sold but I kept few pieces. Other's accumulated from yard sales or thrift stores.

I have also been working on projects for the next issue of Creating Vintage Charm.

I come in this room for other reasons too... I propped up my card table that happens to have a black top, works just as well as a chalk board... I had an impromptu brain storming session and  needed to put it out on writing somewhere and somehow the card table crossed my path... and there I was... sorting out my thoughts... Putting order to the chaos in my head.

This coming week I will be working in my studio. A small house right next door, that I will be sharing with a quilter. We will be painting and doing some cosmetic work on the house. Then I can move my office/studio next door and clear another room in my house. I have worked out of my home for the last 7 years and I do look forward to (even if it is just next door) feel like I am going to work. I will be setting up my Creating Vintage Charm office there and I am excited.

Not much to show now but a very dirty and bad choice of paint colored rooms... I look forward to the transformation.

I hope to be sharing more about the studio and move soon but until then...

enjoy this long holiday weekend!!
